Ethiopia
Edify began operations in Ethiopia in 2015.

The Need
More than one-third of children haven’t completed primary education, and 25% are out of school.
In recent years, primary school net enrollment hit an amazing 85%. However, completion hovers at only 54%.
Over 5.7 million students are out of school, which is 32% of the school-age population, and girls are more likely to be out of school than boys.
Ethiopia suffers from political unrest, armed conflict, high numbers of refugee and internally displaced people, and climate-induced emergencies.
